Everton submit loan bid for Fenerbahce forward

Everton have submitted an official offer to Fenerbahçe for forward Youssef En-Nesyri.

The Toffees have approached the Turkish Süper Lig side over a loan deal for En-Nesyri, with an option to make the move permanent for a fee of €20m (£17.3m).

David Moyes wants to bring in another forward this month with Beto and Thierno Barry having struggled for form.

The duo have scored just five Premier League goals between them and En-Nesyri is viewed as an option to upgrade in attack. Moyes has a long-standing interest in the Moroccan, with former West Ham previously credited as admirers.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that negotiations between the two clubs are underway. En-Nesyri has scored seven goals in 10 league starts for Fenerbahce this season after scoring 30 in all competitions last season.

The 28-year-old joined the Istanbul outfit from Sevilla, where he scored 73 times in 196 games, in a club-record €19.5m deal in July 2024. The transfer set a new Turkish transfer record at that time.

Any deal will wait until the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations. En-Nesyri is currently with host nation Morocco at the tournament. Morocco face Nigeria in the semi-finals this evening.
