Crystal Palace vs Manchester United – Predicted lineup and team news

Crystal Palace welcome Manchester United to Selhurst Park on Sunday, looking to cement their place in the top five.

Oliver Glasner’s side have been exceptional defensively this season. In fact, only league leaders Arsenal have conceded fewer goals than the Eagles. Additionally, the hosts hold a significant psychological advantage over their opponents.

Palace have won three of their last four league games against Manchester United. Moreover, they have kept a clean sheet in each of those four matches. A victory here would extend their impressive unbeaten home run in the Premier League to 13 games.

Crystal Palace team news

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed a mixed bag of news ahead of Sunday’s clash. Unfortunately, Borna Sosa will remain sidelined for the match against Manchester United.

However, there is growing optimism regarding Will Hughes. The midfielder was a doubt but is recovering well. Glasner is “very hopeful” Hughes will be fit enough for the matchday squad. The rest of the squad has emerged unscathed from the midweek Conference League trip to Strasbourg. Encouragingly, the manager reported that “all others are fine” despite the quick turnaround.

Glasner also highlighted his efforts to keep his key defenders fresh. Specifically, he managed the minutes of Marc Guéhi and Chris Richards during the midweek defeat in France. Both are likely to start as Palace look to bounce back immediately against a Manchester United side that plays a similar 3-4-3 system.
