Crystal Palace are will turn their attentions to sign West Ham striker Andy Carroll this summer in the event that a move for Christian Benteke fails.
The Eagles have had Benteke on their radar for some time and are reported to be willing to meet Liverpools asking price of £30million although an offer is yet to be made.
However, manager Alan Pardew is already drawing up contingency plans in case a move for the Belgian fails to materialise.
The Sunday Express claim that former Newcastle and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is on Pardew’s radar as the 27-year seems to have finally gotten over a series of severe injuries that have blighted his career.
Carrolls chances could become even more limited after West Ham splashed £20.5million on Andre Ayew.
