Which teams are playing in the Champions League this week?

The UEFA Champions League returns for matchday three this week with 36 teams in action across Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Arsenal looking to maintain their 100 per cent record as they welcome Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid to the Emirates Stadium.

Their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to bounce back from defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend by beating Monaco on the road.

Liverpool are also smarting after losing to Manchester United at Anfield as they travel to Eintracht Frankfurt. Having lost their last four outings, Arne Slot is in desperate need of a victory in Germany.

Manchester City are also playing away from home this week as they take on Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica, while Newcastle United host Benfica at St. James’ Park and Chelsea entertain Ajax at Stamford Bridge.

In terms of the standout midweek ties, Bayer Leverkusen clash with champions Paris Saint-Germain at home on Tuesday while Real Madrid welcome Juventus to the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
