Moment of the Week
Bodo/Glimt produced a stunning performance to beat Manchester City in a remarkable Champions League upset.
The Norwegian side are into the competition proper for the first time this season, and had gone winless across their first six games. Not anymore.
Kasper Hogh’s double and a stunning individual effort from Jens Petter Hauge saw Bodo upset the 2023 winners, who had no answer for Kjetil Knutsen’s side in freezing conditions inside the Arctic Circle.
A David vs Goliath upset of the highest order.
Player of the Week
When Vinicius Junior is in this sort of mood, there’s very little opposition teams can do to stop him. The noise surrounding a potential exit at Real Madrid should really quieten down, with Vinicius a player who would be near impossible to replace.
He was electric against Monaco this week, scoring a thumping effort, providing two assists, creating seven chances, and forcing an own goal.

The chemistry between Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe appeared good, in a worrying sign for Real Madrid’s Champions League rivals.
Goal of the Week
Jens Petter Hauge came through the academy at Bodo/Glimt before earning a high-profile move to AC Milan.
The winger failed to fulfil his potential at the San Siro, while spells at Eintracht Frankfurt and Genk proved similarly underwhelming. Now 26, he’s back at Bodo and beginning to realise the potential European teams first saw.
Petter Hauge has scored four Champions League goals this season, including this stunning individual effort against Manchester City. He’s also completed the most dribbles in the Champions League this season and there might be a queue of clubs prepared to take another chance on the Norwegian. The quality is there.

Take your pick from Vitezslav Jaros’s display in Ajax’s win at Villarreal. The Liverpool loanee enjoyed a superb night of shot-stopping in Spain, with perhaps the best of the night a strong hand to get across and palm away a goal-bound header.

Home comforts have deserted Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this season, but North London’s proven a difficult trip for teams in Europe.
Spurs have now, incredibly, won twice as many Champions League games at the Tottenham Hotspur as they have Premier League home games in 2025-26.

Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard has had bad periods at Manchester City before, but rarely have the Citizens had back-to-back defeats like this.
After a dreadful derby display at Manchester United, Guardiola’s side froze at previously winless Bodo/Glimt this week.
