Brighton are confident of beating Chelsea to the signing of Olympiacos teenager Charalampos Kostoulas.
The Seagulls are in advanced talks with the Greek side over a transfer package worth around €47m (£39.6m).
Chelsea have had a bid rejected for the 18-year-old and could return to challenge Brighton, though Sky Germany are claiming that the South Coast side are very confident of getting a deal done.

Kostoulas formed part of the Olympiacos team that upset the odds to win the UEFA Youth League in 2023/24, scoring five times, and has since broken into the senior side.
He became the club’s youngest-ever professional debutant when appearing for the B Team in January 2023.
This season, Kostoulas scored seven times in 22 Greek Super League appearances as Olympiacos won a domestic double. He has been tracked by several of Europe’s elite clubs, alongside teammate Christos Mouzakitis, but Brighton are closing in on his signature.
