These tweets perfectly summed up Man City’s dismantling of hopeless Arsenal

Man City put themselves within two points of league leaders Liverpool with a convincing 3-1 win over Arsenal, a result that Twitter was able to sum up perfectly.

The mood was set once Arsenal announced their starting line-up.

Meanwhile Man City fans were none the wiser when it came to their formation either.

Is it 4-3-3? 3-1-3-3? God only knows.

Gunners fans worst fears were confirmed after a grand total of 46 seconds, when a — you guessed it — defensive mistake allowed Sergio Aguero to open the scoring.

City’s penchant for losing early leads came back to haunt them again though, with the away side nabbing an equaliser through an unlikely source just ten minutes later

Arsenal’s midfield seemed to be coping admirably with the task at hand, stopping City from creating too many chances.

It couldn’t last forever though; Aguero, via a Raheem Sterling assist, restored the lead right before half-time, deflating any semblance of Arsenal optimism.

After an enjoyable 45 minutes of football, Man City went into the half-time break 2-1 ahead.

On the hour mark Aguero grabbed his 14th hat-trick for Man City, and the 10th of his Premier League career.

The Argentine striker was a very deserved Man of the Match.

The match finished 3-1, Arsenal unable to get anywhere near their City counterparts in the second-half.

With Manchester United defeating Leicester City 1-0 earlier in the day, Arsenal are now firmly in sixth.
