Juventus target Arsenal forward as they look to replace Alvaro Morata

Juventus were powerless last week as Real Madrid swooped to take Alvaro Morata back to the Bernabeu after activating a buy back clause in the Spaniards contract, and now the Serie A champions have targetted Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez to fill the void left by Morata.

The Chilean international, currently preparing for the Copa America final against Argentina tonight, has been stalling over a new contract at the Emirates, despite being offered the new deal months ago.

It is believed that the 27-year old is Juve’s number one summer transfer target and will put the money raised from Morata’s enforced departure to make a move for the former Barcelona player.

Sanchez is certainly no stranger to the Italian league, moving to Barcelona from Udinese, before completing a £32million transfer to the Emirates in 2013.

Juventus have also been linked with a move for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku as well as Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain,
