Chelsea’s mercurial attacker Eden Hazard has insisted that it is too early to talk about the Blues mounting a Premier League title charge this season.
Hazard was again in sensational form earlier today, with the Belgium international scoring in Chelsea’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Southampton.
Today’s win at St.Mary’s means Chelsea are still unbeaten after eight league games, but Hazard was reluctant to announce that he and his teammates are targeting the Premier League title.
“It’s too early to be thinking about the title, we know it is tough to win. But it is good to be up there. We’ll maybe watch Liverpool and Man City on the bus,” Hazard told Sky Sports.
Liverpool and Man City’s draw means that Chelsea move up into second position in the table with all three clubs on 20 points as we head into the latest international break.
