Aston Villa’s loan move for Alejandro Garnacho includes a purchase option that is ‘almost guaranteed’.
Villa have agreed a deal to sign Garnacho from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal. The Argentina international is set to move to Villa Park on loan as a replacement for Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea in a £117m deal earlier this week.
Unai Emery was keen to bring in a left-sided forward and Garnacho has given his approval to the move. He’s due to undergo a medical before completing the loan switch to Villa Park.
Though an initial loan, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the move will almost certainly become permanent in 2027. Under the conditions of the arrangement, there is an ‘easy to reach’ obligation that is ‘almost guaranteed’.
The fee involved has not been revealed, though Chelsea were seeking around £42m for Garnacho, who only arrived from Manchester United 12 months ago.
The 22-year-old scored eight goals in 43 games last season but has been deemed surplus to requirements this summer.
