Manchester United targeting Premier League title next season

Mason Mount is confident that Manchester United can win the Premier League next season.

Manchester United have made major strides forward this season and are on the brink of Champions League qualification.

Currently third in the Premier League, their performances following a disastrous 2024/25 campaign. Last season, the Red Devils finished 15th, their lowest league finish of the Premier League era, and lowest since last being relegated in 1974.

Mount believes the club are now firmly on the up and is targeting the biggest trophies. He outlined his ambition to win an elusive league title, and said United are capable of ending a 13-year title drought next season.

“I’ve won the Champions League already, so I have a goal of winning the Premier League. Can we do that? Yes, I think we can,” he said.

“It may seem a little bit far away, but you must have that mentality to really push yourself as a group.

“We’ve shown what we can do against the big teams already; Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, so we’ve done it.

“Now it’s about doing it on a bigger stage in the Champions League and doing it more consistently in the Premier League.

“Hopefully, I will be a massive part of that moving forward next season. It’s a goal: I want to win the Premier League.”
