Celtic take on Falkirk at Celtic Park on Saturday night in their first game after the Scottish Premiership split.
With only three points separating leaders Hearts and Celtic, who sit third on 67 points, every game is vital for Martin O’Neill’s side in the title race.
Celtic come into this fixture in good form, winning four of their last five matches. They recently beat St Mirren 6–2 in the Scottish Cup and followed that up with a 1–0 league win over the same team. Although they did lose 2–0 to Dundee United, they remain very strong at home and have won their last eight meetings against Falkirk at Celtic Park.

There is some positive news for Martin O’Neill as Liam Scales is back from suspension and is expected to return straight to the starting lineup.
Alistair Johnston and Callum Osmand have both returned to training after long spells out with hamstring injuries. They are available but may begin on the bench as they build up match fitness.
Captain Callum McGregor is also fit and ready to start despite recent minor fitness issues.
However, Celtic are still without several key players. Kasper Schmeichel (shoulder), Cameron Carter-Vickers (Achilles), Jota (ACL), Julian Araujo (thigh), and Colby Donovan (hamstring) are all ruled out.
