Erling Haaland was left out of the Man City matchday squad to face Leeds United on Saturday due to a “little injury”.Â
The Norway international was unexpectedly left out of the starting lineup for the trip to Elland Road and did not travel with the rest of the team.
Omar Marmoush started up front in Haaland’s place after the striker picked up an injury in training this week.

Speaking ahead of kick-off, City boss Pep Guardiola said that Haaland’s injury was “not a big issue”, but he was not fit enough to play against Leeds this weekend.
“Two days ago in training he had some problems and a little injury,” he told Sky Sports. “Not a big issue but not ready for today.
“We are without one top striker and we are playing with another top striker.”
Former Norway forward and reporter Jan Aage Fjortoft claims that the 25-year-old could return to action as soon as next Wednesday when they host Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium.
Surprisingly, City have a better win ratio (76.5%) in the Premier League when he is absent than when he does feature (65.3%).
