Borussia Dortmund vs Bayern Munich – Predicted lineup and team news

Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich meet again in Der Klassiker at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, with Bayern sitting top of the table and holding an eight‑point advantage over second‑placed Dortmund going into Matchday 24.

Borussia Dortmund team news

Before the game, Niko Kovac explained that Emre Can came through his recent return without issues and is “ready to play”, so Dortmund should have their captain available.

Even so, Dortmund’s back line needs to be reworked: Julian Ryerson is banned after picking up his fifth yellow card at RB Leipzig, and central defenders Niklas Sule and Filippo Mane are still out with thigh problems that are expected to keep them sidelined until early March.

Kovac has also challenged his squad to show courage with the ball, saying they must be “brave in possession and keep the ball for long spells” against Bayern, and that he will send out “eleven players who will give their all” to try to beat the champions in front of the Yellow Wall.

Dortmund’s expected lineup includes Gregor Kobel in goal, three centre-backs that include Waldemar Anton, Nico Schlotterbeck and Ramy Bensebaini. Yan Couto and Daniel Svensson will play as the wing-backs with Jobe Bellingham and Felix Nmecha in central midfield, and the trio of Karim Adeyemi, Julian Brandt and Serhou Guirassy will lead the attack.
