Borussia Dortmund make the trip to Bergamo on Wednesday to face Atalanta in the second leg of their Champions League knockout play-off at the New Balance Arena.
Dortmund bring a 2-0 lead from the first leg, meaning Atalanta need a big turnaround if they are to stay in the competition.
Dortmund are currently unbeaten in the Bundesliga for 16 matches, their best run since 2023.
Borussia Dortmund team news
Niko Kovac’s side arrive with some issues at the back, but there is good news in the shape of Nico Schlotterbeck’s possible return. The defender trained on Tuesday and has been named in the squad after missing the first game.
Even so, Emre Can and Niklas Sule are still ruled out. Can is dealing with adductor problems, while Sule is still working his way back to full fitness. Filippo Mane is also unavailable because of a thigh injury.
Up front, Dortmund are expected to stick with Serhou Guirassy and Maximilian Beier, the duo who found the net in the first leg, with Julian Brandt again supporting them.
Julian Ryerson comes into the tie in outstanding form, having produced nine assists in nine competitive matches in 2026, including four in a 4-0 Bundesliga win over Mainz.
