Chelsea have entered the race to sign Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth as multiple clubs consider activating the player’s release clause.
The West Londoners contacted Bournemouth today to discuss the conditions of a deal. Semenyo has a £65m release clause in his contract with the Cherries, which can be activated only in the first 10 days of the January transfer window.
Chelsea have now joined Manchester United and Manchester City in actively pursuing a deal, according to Fabrizio Romano. Both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring his situation.

Both Manchester clubs have held talks with the 25-year-old’s representatives regarding personal terms, with each prepared to activate the release clause fee.
Semenyo has emerged as the most coveted player of the transfer window among Premier League teams, following a super start to the season on the south coast.
The Ghana international has scored eight Premier League goals, adding three assists, and ranks among the league’s top performers for shots, progressive carries and carries into the penalty area.
