Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has insisted that Antoine Semenyo is not affected by speculation surrounding his future.
Semenyo is understood to be a transfer target for several Premier League teams in January, with Liverpool heavily linked with a player who has a £65m release clause in his contract. Manchester United are also admirers, having enquired in the summer.
Semenyo started the season spectacularly and has six goals and three assists in the Premier League, but his form has dried up in recent weeks. The Ghana international has failed to score or assist across his last seven league outings.
Despite that downturn, Iraola does not believe that the transfer talk has distracted the winger.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s meeting with potential suitors Manchester United, the Spaniard said: “We cannot only analyse the numbers. He’s not our number nine. He’s a winger that gives us a lot of goals and a lot of assists, and he gives us chances normally. He was the biggest threat against Chelsea the other day.

“I don’t feel [transfer speculation] is affecting him a lot. When you hear your name every day in the news you have to deal with the situation, but I think he’s committed, and I haven’t seen a lot of changes in him.”
