Benjamin Sesko was forced off with an injury as Man Utd secured a point at Spurs with a late equaliser on Saturday afternoon.Â
Bryan Mbeumo deservedly put the visitors ahead after half an hour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but didn’t build on their lead.
Spurs improved after the break and eventually levelled matters in the 84th minute thanks to Mathys Tel’s deflected strike.
Wilson Odobert, who came off the bench at halftime, saw his 91st-minute shot go in off the head of Richarlison to complete the turnaround.
But the drama wasn’t over there as Matthijs de Ligt headed in from a corner deep into stoppage time to see both sides share the spoils.
Sesko injury concern as Man Utd boss Amorim issues update
The results extends Man Utd‘s unbeaten streak to five games in the Premier League, but it came at a cost. Substitute Sesko was denied a potential match winner late on as Micky van de Ven pulled off a terrific last-ditch tackle, with the Slovenian striker seemingly injuring himself in the process. The Red Devils had to play the remainder of the game with ten men as they had already made five substitutions.
“We have to see, we think he has a problem but let’s see,” Ruben Amorim told TNT Sports after the final whistle.
“It’s a little frustration, but also pride at the response of the players at the response to second goal of Tottenham.
“This is the tip of the iceberg, we are at the beginning of becoming a strong team, so we have a lot to do.”

Although there was relief at avoiding defeat, Amorim felt that victory was there for the taking for United.
He said: “During the game we felt like the three points were there to take home. But then with everything that happened, Harry Maguire and Casemiro coming off and conceding two goals… we scored again and it’s a point.
“When you cannot win you don’t lose, once again we did that. We have so much to grow as a team, because today was our day to win this game.
“We need to look at ourselves, we were not pressing with the same intensity, we felt comfortable but we need to understand that if we had more bravery we kill the game. But sometimes this happens, you have a better first half than second.
“We believe in our capacity to score goals until the last minute.”
