The CIES Football Observatory has released its rankings of the most valuable teenage footballers in the world, with the Premier League well represented in the top 10.
CIES presents exclusive data and analysis on football players, using their analysis to provide a ‘scientific estimation of transfer values’.
Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is the unsurprising name at the top of the most expensive teenagers list.
The 18-year-old finished as runner-up for the Ballon d’Or in 2025 after inspiring Barcelona to a domestic double. Yamal’s incredible early career has also included European Championship success with Spain and back-to-back Kopa Trophies.
CIES has given Yamal a staggering valuation of £308m, far eclipsing the current world transfer record. The current record remains the £198m transfer of Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.
Yamal’s valuation is also almost three times that of the second-most valuable teenager on the list, Chelsea’s Estevao Willian (£104m).
There are four Premier League players inside the top 10, with Arsenal duo Ethan Nwaneri (£78m) and Myles Lewis-Skelly (£75m) included, alongside Tottenham teenager Lucas Bergvall (£60m). Geovany Quenda, who will join Chelsea from Sporting Lisbon next summer, is also on the list.
