Juventus vs Sporting CP – Predicted lineup and team news

Juventus entertain Sporting CP this week in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

The Turin giants are under pressure to secure points in the competition after a rocky start. Luciano Spalletti recently stepped in as Juventus manager following Igor Tudor’s departure due to an eight-match winless streak.

Spalletti, who previously managed the Italian national team, made a promising start with a 2-1 victory away from home against Cremonese. Spalletti aims to apply his tactical knowledge to turn Juventus’s Champions League fortunes around.

However, Juventus have endured a difficult Champions League campaign so far, recording only two points from their first three games, which leaves them near the bottom of the group standings.

Juventus team news

Centre-back Gleison Bremer is sidelined until early January 2026 after surgery on a torn medial meniscus in his left knee, dealing a major blow to the team’s defense. Defender Juan Cabal is also out with a thigh injury, expected back mid-November, alongside goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio (recovering from a leg injury) and full-back Lloyd Kelly (muscle injury). Additionally, Kenan Yildiz and Arkadiusz Milik are doubtful for the fixture.

Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic remains one of the Banconeri’s standout players, having netted three goals in 10 Serie A appearances this season, contributing a total of seven goal involvements across all competitions.
