They say that lightning doesn’t strike twice but that’s not proven to be the case for Amara Nallo, following his red card for Liverpool this week…
Making your first-team debut is one of the biggest career moments for any professional footballer.
It’s a culmination of years of development, hard work and sacrifice, though it does not always go to plan. Nallo made his first Liverpool appearance last season, in a Champions League dead-rubber at PSV Eindhoven. Introduced from the bench, the defender’s debut lasted just four minutes as he was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity.
18-year-old Amara Nallo has played two senior matches for Liverpool:

The teenager has had to wait 10 months for his next opportunity, as Arne Slot rotated his Reds for their Carabao Cup fourth-round tie with Crystal Palace.
Initially named on the bench, Niallo was introduced for Alexis Mac Allister but his appearance was again short-lived. Just minutes after coming off the bench, Nallo was sent off for another last-man challenge.
His Liverpool career has so far yielded two appearances, two red cards, and just 16 minutes of action.
A tough start for the teenager.
