Chelsea are ready to revisit a deal to sign Samu Aghehowa in next summer’s transfer window.
The West Londoners agreed a deal to sign Aghehowa from former club Atletico Madrid in 2024, but the deal broke down after Chelsea allegedly tried to change the conditions late on.
Aghehowa instead signed for FC Porto, where he’s built a reputation as one of the most exciting forwards outside of Europe’s top five leagues.
The 21-year-old has scored 35 goals in 54 games for Porto, including eight in just nine appearances so far this season.

Spanish outlet Fichajes have claimed Chelsea are willing to spend big to land the long-term target, with an offer of around €100m (£87m) being considered.
Chelsea signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro in the summer transfer window, though the former is currently sidelined with a hamstring issue.
His absence has left Chelsea short of options in the final third and another goalscorer is being sought, with Nicolas Jackson unlikely to return after his loan spell at Bayern Munich.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been monitoring Aghehowa’s performances in the Primeira Liga this season.
