Bournemouth set Semenyo price tag amid transfer interest

Bournemouth will demand a fee of £75m for Antoine Semenyo amid interest in the winger from Premier League rivals.

Semenyo has started the campaign on fire with six goals and three assists in seven Premier League appearances for the Cherries. Bournemouth fought off interest in Semenyo during the summer and tied the 25-year-old down to a new long-term contract.

That deal leaves Bournemouth in a favourable position as clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur monitor his performances on the south coast.

Liverpool are understood to consider Semenyo as a potential addition, following the sale of Luis Diaz last summer. A wide player is reportedly on the Reds’ radar, with Mohamed Salah set to turn 34 next summer.

The club’s sporting director, Richard Hughes, was behind the deal that took Semenyo to Bournemouth during his time working with the Cherries. Semenyo joined Bournemouth from Bristol City for £10m in January 2023.

According to talkSPORT, Bournemouth will now demand a record fee for the player. The South Coast side value Semenyo at £75m, a deal that would eclipse the £65m club-record sale of Dominic Solanke to Tottenham in 2024.
