Arne Slot has suggested there could be incomings at Liverpool on transfer deadline day.
The transfer window closes for business for Premier League clubs on Monday at 7pm. It is expected to be a busy day of deals across the division and Liverpool are among the clubs that could feature prominently.
The Premier League champions had a £110m bid rejected for Alexander Isak earlier this summer and could return with a British record offer for the Swedish striker. Isak is currently training alone as he pushes for an exit from St James’ Park.
Liverpool have said they will only bid again if given encouragement from Newcastle, who signed forward Nick Woltemade in an €80m deal earlier this week.
The Reds also hold an interest in Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi, and that pursuit could intensify after Ibrahima Konate picked up an injury against Arsenal on Sunday.

Speaking after watching his side move top of the Premier League table with a 1-0 win at Anfield, Slot said Liverpool will try to ‘strengthen the squad’ in the closing hours of the window.
On how busy he expects deadline day to be, Slot told Sky Sports: “Quite busy because I have to take a flight at two o’clock! On a serious note, let’s wait and see.
“I haven’t spoken to [sporting director] Richard [Hughes] yet. I don’t think it’s a surprise we are trying to see if we can strengthen the squad but if that isn’t possible we are more than happy to do that with this team.”
