However, the Portuguese face off against a Germany side with home advantage and a strong record in this fixture. Germany haven’t lose to Portugal since Euro 2000, winning each of the last five meetings between the teams.

Cristiano Ronaldo will lead the line for Portugal in Munich, with his sights set on adding to his international record of 136 goals. The 40-year-old heads into the Nations League having secured a second successive Golden Boot in the Saudi Pro League.
Roberto Martinez has four Champions League winners in his squad with PSG quartet Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, Joao Neves and Goncalo Ramos all selected.
There’s also a first call-up for Porto teenager Rodrigo Mora. The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakout season in 2024/25 with 10 goals in the Primeira Liga. Incredibly, Mora was born almost four years after Ronaldo’s debut for the national team.
