Manchester City have approached Wolves to discuss the conditions of a deal to sign Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Pep Guardiola wants to bring in at least one new full-back this summer and Ait-Nouri features highly on the club’s left-back shortlist.

The Algeria international has just 12 months to run on his contract at Wolves and could be available for a reduced fee. He impressed for Vitor Pereira’s side this season, scoring four times and providing seven assists in the Premier League.
Why Rayan Ait-Nouri is a transfer target for Manchester City
The 23-year-old’s adaptability appeals, having operated as part of a three-man central defence, at full-back and further advanced down the left flank.
With Josko Gvardiol earmarked for a centre-back role next season, City want to sign a recognised left-back to add to their options.
Ait-Nouri would add attacking impetus for the Citizens and ranked in the top 3% of full-backs for successful take-ons per game during the 2024/25 season. No defender was directly involved in more goals.
Wolves face a potential summer of upheaval, with Matheus Cunha closing in on a £62.5m move to Manchester United. Ait-Nouri’s potential exit could see a second key figure depart, though any sale would bring in significant funds for Pereira to strengthen.
