Chelsea are growing increasing confident of securing the signing of Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain according to reports.
The England midfielder has just one year remaining on his current deal at Arsenal, and despite being offered a new deal worth £180,000-a-week, he looks set to leave.
The 24-year-old does not intend to sign the new deal though, a move which could force the Gunners to sell him.
According to The Telegraph, this has left Chelsea’s confidence to grown in their hopes of signing the versatile player.
Oxlade-Chamberlain see’s his future in the centre of midfield, but is more than capable of playing as both a right winger, right wing back, and has also started this season as a left wing back.
The deal to take him from North to West London is thought to be worth £35m.
