Brentford forward Yoane Wissa is ‘open’ to a move to either Newcastle United or Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Newcastle saw a £25m bid for the DR Congo international rejected on Tuesday. The Magpies remain keen to strike a deal for Wissa and are preparing an improved offer in excess of £30m for the 28-year-old.

Newcastle want to bring in another centre-forward following the exit of Callum Wilson as a free agent.
Tottenham Hotspur have also expressed interest in the forward, who scored 19 goals in the Premier League last season.
His 19 non-penalty goals trailed behind only Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah (20) in the division. Thomas Frank is keen on a reunion with the player, following his move from Brentford to Spurs this summer.
Journalist Ben Jacobs is reporting that Wissa is ‘open’ to a move to either club. Though he has worked previously with Spurs manager Frank, both sides can offer the prospect of Champions League football.
Brentford are reluctant to lose Wissa in a summer of upheaval. In addition to Frank’s exit, the Bees have lost captain Christian Norgaard to Arsenal and leading scorer Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United.
