Tottenham target January signing after Kudus injury

Tottenham are looking to sign a forward in the January transfer window following an injury to Mohammed Kudus.

Kudus’s injury is worse than first feared and Spurs feel light in attacking areas, following his absence and the £35m sale of Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace.

According to The Telegraph, Spurs have money to spend this month and will prioritise a forward.

The North Londoners have been linked with Omar Marmoush, of Manchester City, with the Egyptian out of favour this season.

Marmoush has started just twice in the Premier League this season and the imminent arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth will further increase competition.

Spurs had also been keen on Semenyo, but could now capitalise on the player’s move to City with a move for Marmoush.

RB Leipzig teenager Yan Diomande is also a player of interest. Spurs are one of several sides monitoring the 19-year-old, amid his impressive performances this season. Manchester United also like Diomande, who has scored six times in 10 Bundesliga starts.

However, both Diomande and Marmoush are currently participating at the Africa Cup of Nations, delaying any potential pursuits.
