Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
The North London side had expressed interest in signing Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, with an offer submitted to the player’s camp.
However, Semenyo looks set to choose Manchester City as his destination of choice, with several clubs willing to trigger his £65m release clause.
Spurs are ready to capitalise on that transfer with a move for Marmoush. The Egyptian international has started just twice in the Premier League this season and the potential addition of Semenyo will further increase competition for places.
Marmoush signed for City from Eintracht Frankfurt last January for a fee of €70m and scored seven times in 14 league starts in 2024/25. However, the summer signing of Rayan Cherki has reduced his minutes.
According to TEAMtalk, Spurs are ready to test City’s resolve with a bid. Any deal, however, will need to wait until the conclusion of the Africa Cup of Nations, where the 26-year-old is currently representing Egypt. He scored in The Pharaohs’ opening win over Zimbabwe this week. The final of the tournament is scheduled for January 18th 2026.
Spurs also retain interest in City teammate Savinho after talks in the summer, though that pursuit has cooled after the Brazilian signed a new contract at the Etihad in October.
