The highest-paid footballers in Europe’s top-five leagues have been revealed, with four Premier League players inside the top 10.
According to GlobalStats, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is the best-paid footballer across Europe’s major leagues.
The Norwegian’s pay packet at the Etihad is reportedly just over half a million per week (£525,000), which puts him marginally ahead of Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe (£518,137).
Mohamed Salah is the next-highest paid player in English football. The 33-year-old signed a new two-year deal at Liverpool last summer, worth £400,000-a-week. Teammate Virgil van Dijk (£350,000) and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro (£350,000) are also included in the top 10.
Harry Kane is the highest-paid English player. The Bayern Munich forward reportedly takes home a weekly wage of £414,509 at the German champions.
Interestingly, five of the top 10 biggest contracts across Europe’s top five leagues expire at the end of the current campaign.
Casemiro’s deal runs out this summer, while David Alaba, Dusan Vlahovic, Manuel Neuer and Robert Lewandowsi are also nearing the end of their lucrative contracts.
