Pep Guardiola certainly has an argument as the greatest manager of all time. The Spaniard’s silverware stacks up with the best of them, winning countless honours at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City
After suggestions his stint at Manchester City would not last more than two or three seasons, Guardiola is now approaching a decade at the Etihad.
During that time, he’s set records, hoovered up trophies, and dominated English football. Pre-Pep, no English team had ever won 100 points in a top-flight season, lifted a domestic treble, or won four consecutive league titles. Manchester City have achieved all of that – and more.
City’s 3-1 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday secured their place in the Carabao Cup final. The victory at the Etihad sealed a 5-1 success on aggregate against the holders and has set up a final showdown with Arsenal at Wembley next month.

Incredibly, the contest will be Guardiola’s FIFTH League Cup final and 11th cup final overall in his 10 seasons at the Etihad.
He’s won seven of the previous nine, with Wembley often a happy hunting ground for his team.
