Ruben Sellés’ side have bolstered their ranks over the summer with five new arrivals: Djibril Soumaré (loan from Braga), Mihail Polendakov (Septemvri Sofia), Ehije Ukaki (Botev Plovdiv), Tyler Bindon (loan from Nottingham Forest) and Louie Barry (loan from Aston Villa).
“It is a genuine privilege to join Sheffield United, and I am truly eager to arrive in England and challenge myself” said Soumaré on his loan move. Departures include Kieffer Moore (Wrexham) and Anel Ahmedhodžić (Feyenoord).

After a 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on the opening day, Swansea will look to take advantage of their home fixture against Sheffield United and gain some momentum. The Swans bounced back with a 3-1 win over Crawley Town in the Carabao Cup.

The Blades were beaten 4-1 at home by Bristol City on the opening day, with Ruben Sellés admitting it “wasn’t the performance we wanted”. That remains their only Championship outing so far. Sheffield United exited the Carabao Cup in midweek after losing 1-0 at Birmingham City.
