Tottenhaham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has completed a season long loan move to Bundesliga club Schalke.
He joins Schalke initially on a season long loan but it is believed it is with a view to completing a £17million transfer next summer.
The Algerian has fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane despite bursting onto the scene with great promise just a few seasons ago, with Mauricio Pochettino informing the midfielder he can leave the club.
Pochettino told Bentaleb, along with Alex Pritchard and Federico Fazio back in July that they were no longer part of his plans.
The situation is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know.
I have communicated them and it was made very clear. It’s not a problem.
They know the situation and we’ll see what happens.
Bentaleb made just five appearances for Spurs last season.
