Arne Slot believes that Liverpool’s summer signings are showing signs of settling at Anfield.
Liverpool embarked on a record-breaking summer spend ahead of the 2025/26 season, investing more than £400m on new signings.
Among them included British record deals for Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, each of whom have endured underwhelming starts with the club.
Milos Kerkez, signed from Bournemouth for £40m, has also struggled this season but Slot believes there have been encouraging signs from the signings of late.
Wirtz was involved in the equaliser during the midweek draw with Sunderland, while Isak registered a long-awaited first league goal for Liverpool at West Ham last weekend.
Speaking ahead of facing Leeds this weekend, Slot said he is confident the new recruits will soon find their best level.
“There was also positives to take in the players brought in during the summer in that I see they are getting more and more consistent in their performances,” he said at his pre-match press conference.
“Florian [Wirtz] is maybe the most obvious one but I see the same with Milos Kerkez as well. Alex [Isak] scored his first goal a game ago. So there are positives to take but of course we are still not where we want to be. But compared to where we were after our last two losses – 3-0 and 4-1 – there are also things we have done better.”
