Real Madrid XI vs Mallorca – Predicted lineup and team news

Real Madrid travel to Mallorca for a La Liga clash on Saturday afternoon, with the visitors aiming to keep their title push alive.

Los Blancos have a stronger overall head-to-head record, but their recent trips to Son Moix have been far less straightforward, with only two wins in their last five away meetings.

Real remain in good form despite a few setbacks, having recently beaten Atlético Madrid 3-2 in a tense Madrid derby. That result kept them on 69 points from 29 matches, just four behind league leaders Barcelona, and keeps them firmly in the championship race.

Real Madrid team news

Alvaro Arbeloa’s side will be without captain Federico Valverde, who is suspended after his red card in the match against Atletico Madrid.

The midfield loss is significant, and it puts extra responsibility on the likes of Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouameni.

Madrid’s injury list is still lengthy, with Thibaut Courtois, Rodrygo, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy all unavailable.

The good news is that Eder Militao has returned to the squad for the first time since December, giving the back line an important boost.

Kylian Mbappe and Bellingham are both available, although there is a chance Madrid will rotate a few key players to manage fatigue.

Vinícius Junior is a doubt because of thigh discomfort, which could open the door for Brahim Díaz to start if the Brazilian is not risked.
