Real Madrid welcome Sevilla to the Bernabéu on Saturday for their next La Liga outing, in what will be their final fixture of 2025.
Xabi Alonso’s side come into the game on a patchy run, with just four victories in their last 10 matches in all competitions, and will be keen to sign off the calendar year with a convincing display against the Andalusians.
Real Madrid team news
Dani Carvajal is still out after undergoing surgery on a serious knee injury, and the full-back is not expected to return until some point in 2026. Trent Alexander-Arnold also misses out due to a thigh issue, while centre-back Éder Militao remains sidelined by a significant hamstring problem that is projected to keep him out until February.
Brahim Diaz is unavailable as he has joined up with the Morocco national team for the Africa Cup of Nations, ruling him out of this clash with Sevilla.
Real Madrid are further depleted by suspensions for Álvaro Carreras and Endrick, and Ferland Mendy faces an extended lay-off after sustaining a new muscle injury, with the left-back also not expected back before 2026.
Kylian Mbappé’s form, however, remains a major positive. After his brace against CF Talavera in the Copa del Rey, the French forward has now scored 58 goals in all competitions in the 2025 calendar year, leaving him just one strike short of Cristiano Ronaldo’s club record of 59 goals in a single year.
Real Madrid predicted lineup
Possible Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Huijsen, F Garcia; Guler, Tchouameni, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius.
