Ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season we spoke to fans of all 20 clubs to get their views on the upcoming campaign.
Here we chat about all things Leeds United ahead of their opening game.
Premier League Preview: The fans’ view – Leeds United
What lessons need to be learned from last season?
Last year we dropped a lot of points from defensive/keeper mistakes, but equally we were able to recover and got away with a lot. The quality of attacker will be a lot more potent this season, so these mistakes won’t go unpunished in the premier league. Tighten up.

What’s your view on the manager?
I think Daniel Farke has earned his opportunity to manage Leeds in the Premier League. We finished on 100 points last season, he’s spent time building a squad of players that all work and play together well as a team and he’s a relatively pragmatic coach.

However, I have had my doubts over the past two seasons. Given we probably had the best squad in the Championship in 2023/24, it was disappointing not to go up and I think it uncovered some tactical flaws, either through naivety or stubbornness. There is no room for that in the Premier League, so there is of course some worry.
What’s your verdict on your summer transfer window so far?
So far so good…I think. We have made some solid, commanding defensive/midfield signings, but we really need to invest in players who are guaranteed to score goals.
Anton Stach with a beauty! 😮💨

Definitely a striker with Bamford & Joseph both on their way out & ideally a number 10 as well.
*Leeds have since agreed a deal to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent*

One player to watch from your club this season
New signings – Anton Stach. Looks lively so far. Scored a great goal against AC Milan and looked pretty tidy. One to watch.
Current player – Ao Tanaka. Looks effortlessly calm on the ball against any opposition he’s faced so far, I can see him adapting to the Premier League well.
The most underrated player at your club is…
I have two. Ao Tanaka, for the reasons above (Leeds fans already rate him highly but he’ll be a new favourite in the Prem)
Joel Piroe. He’s often criticised for his work rate, but thrives when he has a bit more space and time on the ball. I can’t see opposition sides parking the bus against us, so if he gets the service I can see him finishing a few chances. Loves a goal from long distance too.
The game you’re most looking forward to this season is…
Always Manchester United. Them lot and Arsenal were the only “Top Six” teams we didn’t beat when we were last in the Prem. It would be good if we could capitalise on their misery from last season.

What opposition player do you secretly admire?
No secrets about it. You don’t continuously get nominated for Ballon d’Or for no reason, Mohamed Salah is phenomenal player and great to watch.
This season your team will finish…
It will be a slog, and we’ll likely be circling the plug hole. But I would take an optimistic 15th.
