Manchester United ready move for £65m Premier League forward

Manchester United are ready to make a bid to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window.

Semenyo scored against Ruben Amorim’s side on Monday night as Bournemouth held Manchester United to a 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.

The 25-year-old has been a player of interest to the Red Devils for some time, with the club having an enquiry rejected in the summer.

However, Semenyo’s £65m release clause and interest from rival clubs could accelerate interest from Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

The club’s recruitment team view Semenyo as a player who could fit easily into Amorim’s tactical plan, either as an attacking wing-back or in one of the forward three roles.

Semenyo has scored seven times in the Premier League this season, adding three assists, and is also of interest to Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City.

United are due to lose Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo to the Africa Cup of Nations this month and could step up their pursuit of Semenyo early in the transfer window.
