Pep Guardiola’s side opened the tournament with a comfortable 2-0 win over Wydad AC, courtesy of first-half goals from Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku. The Citizens next take on Al-Ain at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Al-Ain qualified for the Club World Cup as winners of the 2023/24 AFC Asian Champions League. The United Arab Emirates outfit lost 5-0 to Juventus in their opening fixture.

Rico Lewis is suspended for the game after his 88th-minute red card in the opening fixture. The full-back caught Samuel Obeng with a boot to the face and was dismissed despite protesting his innocence. Mathues Nunes or Abdukodir Khusanov could come in at right-back.
Rayan Ait-Nouri is hoping for a debut after failing to make the pitch against Wydad AC, while Pep Guardiola has confirmed Rodri will not start. The Spaniard was introduced as a substitute in the opening fixture and City will take a cautious approach with his return from an ACL injury.
