Arne Slot has confirmed four players are likely to miss Liverpool’s trip to face Brentford in the Premier League this weekend.
Jeremie Frimpong has been ruled out with a hamstring injury after the right-back was withdrawn early in the midweek win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
No timeline has been put on his return but the Dutchman is facing several games on the sidelines. Frimpong joins Alisson Becker, who is also not yet fit to return from a hamstring issue.
“Jeremie Frimpong is not in a good place. He’s defintiely not going to play today, tomorrow or next week,” Slot said.
“Alisson is not in the squad. That’s also going to take a little bit longer.”
Elsewhere, Slot confirmed that Alexander Isak’s groin issue is ‘not too bad’ after the record signing was substituted at half-time in Frankfurt.
However, the Swedish striker is a major doubt to face Brentford. Ryan Gravenberch, who did not travel to Frankfurt due to an ankle issue, is also unlikely to feature.
