Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi has been granted permission to undergo a medical with Liverpool.
Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Guehi for a fee of £35m. The Reds reached an agreement on personal terms with the England international last month and are now pushing to conclude the transfer before Monday’s 7pm deadline.
Palace have reluctantly accepted an offer for their captain, who has entered the final 12 months of his deal at Selhurst Park. The Eagles will retain a 10% sell-on clause as part of the package.
Guehi had informed Palace of his desire to explore a move amid interest from the Premier League champions. The 24-year-old has remained committed to the club despite that stance, scoring in the club’s 3-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

He is now set for a medical in London ahead of signing a long-term contract at Liverpool. Guehi’s arrival will be a big boost to Arne Slot, who saw centre-back Ibrahima Konate limp off injured against Arsenal at the weekend.
Palace have agreed a deal to sign Igor on loan from Brighton as a replacement for Guehi.
