Galatasaray predicted lineup and team news vs Liverpool

Galatasaray head to Liverpool this evening aiming to reach the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in over a decade.

The Turkish SĂ¼per Lig champions have a 1-0 lead to protect at Anfield, but must overcome a notoriously poor record on the road in England.

Galatasaray have won just one of their 12 away games against English teams in all competitions, losing eight, with their sole victory a 3-2 at Manchester United in October 2023. However, heart can be taken from three consecutive wins against Liverpool, even if all three victories came in Istanbul.

Galatasaray team news

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk handed rest to several names for the 3-0 weekend win over İstanbul Başakşehir, including first-leg hero Mario Lemina. Lemina is expected to return to the starting side at Anfield.

The Turkish champions will need to cope without Davinson Sanchez, who is suspended, with Wilfried Singo likely to shift to centre-back, alongside Abdulkerim Bardakci. Rolland Sallai, an international teammate of Liverpool duo Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez, could start at right-back.

Victor Osimhen will again lead the line and has scored seven goals in the Champions League this season. Osimhen has set a new record for the most goal involvements by a Nigerian footballer in a single UCL campaign this season (8).

Galatasaray predicted lineup
