Everton debutant Ornella Vignola was the star of the show as Everton Women secured a 4-1 Merseyside derby win over Liverpool in the Women’s Super League.
Everton signed Vignola from Liga F side Granada in the summer and the 20-year-old made her an instant favourite on Sunday.
The winger inspired the Toffees to a come-from-behind win against Liverpool at Anfield, including a stunning solo goal to equalise and open her account for the club.

Katja Snoeijs put Everton in front in first-half stoppage time, before Vignola completed her hat-trick with a quick-fire double just before the hour. The Spaniard’s hat-trick on debut in English football ensured Everton began their WSL campaign in dream fashion.
