Chelsea have recalled defender Aarón Anselmino from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
The West London side have triggered the recall option in Anselmino’s loan move with the German side and he will return to Stamford Bridge with immediate effect. Anselmino has made 10 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season.
Liam Rosenior has opted to recall the Argentine to boost Chelsea’s defensive options. The Blues are currently without Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo due to injuries.
Dortmund confirmed the decision from Chelsea with a statement on the club’s official website.
“Centre-back Aaron Anselmino is leaving Borussia Dortmund and will return to Chelsea with immediate effect. The Premier League club have activated a clause, bringing the defender’s loan spell, originally scheduled to run until 30 June 2026, to an end ahead of time.
“The 20-year-old Argentine made ten appearances for BVB, scoring one goal. Borussia Dortmund would like to thank Aaron Anselmino and wish him all the best for the future. ”
