Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign one of South America’s brightest prospects, beating a number of top clubs to his signature.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues reached an agreement on Friday to sign Ecuadorian defender Deinner Ordóñez from Independiente del Valle.
Chelsea moved swiftly to capture the 16-year-old amid interest from other European clubs. Liverpool were linked with the youngster just this week.

Independiente, the same club from which Moises Caicedo emerged, have “accepted all conditions” for a deal. The centre-back will arrive at Stamford Bridge in January 2028, when he has turned 18.
Ordonez is yet to make his senior debut for the Ecuadorian outfit, but is a highly-rated talent tipped to play at a high level.
