Reigning champions Arsenal and Chelsea could face off in the knockout stage of the UEFA Women’s Champions League following Thursday’s draw.
There is also the possibility of an El Clasico in the quarter-finals after Real Madrid and Barcelona landed in the same bracket. Las Blancas will face their rivals if they can beat Paris FC over two legs in the play-off round.
Manchester United Women have been drawn against Atletico Madrid, the winner of which will take on Bayern Munich in the quarters, while Juventus and Lyon will battle for the right to play Wolfsburg.
Less than a day after Arsenal beat OH Leuven 3-0 on the road, the two teams were paired together in the play-off draw. Should the Gunners beat them again, they will clash with Women’s Super League rivals Chelsea.
