Celtic XI vs Rangers – Predicted lineup and team news

Celtic and Rangers meet once again in an Old Firm clash in the Scottish Cup quarter-final at Ibrox on Sunday, with a semi-final spot up for grabs.

Celtic arrive at Ibrox sitting second in the Scottish Premiership table with 58 points from 29 games, having recorded 18 wins, 4 draws and 7 defeats, with a goal difference of +22.

They make the short trip across Glasgow on the back of a 2–1 victory over Aberdeen, and this will be their second meeting with Rangers in seven days following last weekend’s 2–2 draw.

Celtic team news

The visitors make the journey to Govan with a significant list of absentees, as several members of the first-team squad are still unavailable through injury ahead of this Old Firm tie.

Callum Osmand (hamstring) and right-back Alistair Johnston (hamstring) both remain sidelined and are not expected to feature again until later in March.

Centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers (Achilles) and winger Jota (knee) are long-term injury casualties and will also miss this quarter-final.

In the midfield, Arne Engels is still working his way back from a thigh problem and is not set to return until after the March international break, ruling him out of the visit to Ibrox, while Adam Montgomery is also unavailable over the same period.
