Burnley travel to the South Coast on Saturday in desperate need of points. Scott Parker’s side have lost seven consecutive Premier League games.
Another defeat would see them equal an unwanted club record for consecutive losses. The Clarets are currently 19th in the table, four points from safety. Furthermore, their away form has been disastrous, conceding an average of almost three goals per game on the road.
Despite Zian Flemming scoring in four consecutive away games, Burnley have lost all of them. Parker needs to find a way to plug the defensive leaks if they are to salvage their season.
Burnley team news
Burnley are missing a key trio due to the Africa Cup of Nations. Axel Tuanzebe, Lyle Foster, and Hannibal Mejbri have all departed for the tournament. However, there is some relief in defence. Lucas Pires and Kyle Walker return from suspension and are available for selection.
In terms of injuries, Zeki Amdouni, Jordan Beyer, and Connor Roberts are all ruled out. This forces Parker to reshuffle his pack. Josh Cullen and Florentino are expected to anchor the midfield. In attack, Zian Flemming will look to extend his scoring streak, playing alongside Jacob Bruun Larsen and Jaidon Anthony.
