Bayern Munich will face Bayer Leverkusen in a Bundesliga encounter at the BayArena on Saturday.
The Bavarians are currently enjoying an impressive run of form, having won their last seven matches.
Their latest victory came in the Champions League Round of 16 first leg, where they secured a dominant 6–1 win over Atalanta.
Bayern have also been prolific in attack, scoring 19 goals across their previous five matches and finding the net at least twice in each of their last nine games.
Bayern Munich team news
Bayern will travel to Leverkusen with a number of injury concerns. Full-back Alphonso Davies is set to miss the match due to injury, while attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala is unavailable as well after suffering an ankle stress reaction.
The goalkeeping department has also been affected by injuries. First-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is still sidelined, and backup Jonas Urbig is expected to miss out as well after sustaining a concussion during Bayern’s recent Champions League fixture.
Because of these absences, Sven Ulreich is likely to start in goal for Bayern.
Defender Hiroki Ito has recently returned to partial team training following a hamstring injury, but the club are expected to take a cautious approach and may decide not to include him in the squad for this match.
Harry Kane is also expected to feature after remaining on the bench in the victory against Atalanta. The striker has scored 30 league goals so far this season and is continuing his pursuit of Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga record of 41 goals in a single campaign.
Bayern Munich predicted lineup
Possible Bayern Munich starting XI: Ulreich; Laimer, Upamecano, Tah, Stanisic; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Gnabry, Diaz; Kane
